Sitio Bariles is an ancient burial site so called because of barrel shaped boulders found there, believed to have been an ancient form of wheel.  Statues found there,  now on display in the Reina Torres de Arauz Museum in Panama City ,  pose a mystery. One of the figures depicted has definite Oriental features while another seems to be of African origin.  Dating puts the statues around 2000BC to 250AD so where did these people com from? A tour of the site takes in a beautiful tropical garden which some unusual plants and trees
