Fishing
Charter a fishing boat from the port of Pedregal, ten minutes from the city of David or from the Gone Fishing Resort at BocaChica about 30 minutes from David.  

Beaches
Visit the beach. The Las Olas Resort  is about 30 minutes from David. Las Lajas  beach is about a hour's drive down the Panamerican Highway .  

Hiking
Hiking along jungle trails is offered at Finca La Suiza at Hornito on the road to Bocas del Toro. Entrance is $8. They are closed in June and from Sept 15 to Nov 15. Tel: 6615 3774.  

Volcano Baru
Take a day trip to the mountain town of Boquete on one side of Volcan  Baru or to Volcan, Bambito, Cerro Punta  and Guadalupe on the other side.   Horseback riding can be arranged  and visits to coffee farms, and forest trails.  

Rodeo
Visit a rodeo. If you are in David on a Sunday you might find a rodeo club in the cattle country close to the city.
