The beaches along this stretch of coast are worth a visit. They are very popular with Panamanians at the weekends, much quieter during the week.  Maria Chiquita beach has facilities. Playa Langosta is further along on the way to Portobelo.  

Snorkeling or diving is available. Several companies near the beach offer facilities for beach activities.  Equipment can be rented for a modest price.
